TeamBrophy is all about working together to help raise awareness and funding for Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research. Ben Brophy sadly lost his father to a form of blood cancer at a young age, and since has set out on the challenge to help raise awareness and funding towards beating blood cancers.

Currently 22 he is dedicated to his studies at Aston University and his charitable goals. He had always wanted to do something that would get the public to be more aware of Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research and what they do. Being a keen sportsman he decided to take on one of the toughest challenges you can face.

In 2011 Ben Brophy decided that his next challenge was to swim across the English Channel! The English Channel is one of the toughest challenges around, with a success rate of 1 in 6. This gruelling challenge involves approximately 22miles, swimming through the busiest shipping lane in the world, with temperatures as little as 5-10°C and an average of 14-16 hours swimming non-stop. Team Brophy was born, a group of fellow students and friends joined together to help fundraise and support Ben in his challenge.

To date Team Brophy helps raise money and awareness in a variety of different ways, and celebrate Ben's epic and SUCCESSFUL English Channel swim taking 14hrs 52mins!
